GOING THE EXTRA MILE
I hope I can adequately express my heartfelt thanks and admiration in this review for all you and your wonderful Senior Partner staff did for us and Bonnie in her last month of life. I only wish we had discovered your agency earlier! During the 16 months that my mother-in-law lived with my husband and I following her stroke, we employed four different agencies. We were blessed that they all provided good care. However, to say that Christina and her staff went the “extra mile” in providing care for my mother-in-law would be an understatement – they went the “extra third or fourth mile”. Christina and her staff were genuinely compassionate and very knowledgeable. They helped us make adjustments in our care that increased my mother-in-laws comfort. These adjustments also “lightened the load” for my husband and me. For example, dressing my mother-in-law had become very difficult for us and exhausting/painful for her. Christina suggested a duster with snaps in the back, instead of sweatpants and button-up shirts. My mother-in-law had worn dusters decades ago and was agreeable to the idea. Using the back-snap duster made dressing incredibly much easier on all of us. That is just one example of how my mother-in-law’s quality of life was improved by Senior Partners. I was also very touched by how Christina and her staff interacted with my mother-in-law…conversing with her, listening to her, being interested in her as a person, patiently encouraging her in the few ADLs she was still able to do for herself; in addition, doing many little things that made life more meaningful.
